Don’t expect miracles against Flames, Enyeama warns

    Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama

Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama on Wednesday warned Nigerians not to expect any miracle from the team against Malawi in the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Blantyre on Saturday.
Enyeama told the News Agency of Nigeria that what was uppermost in the minds of many members of the team was having a formidable squad.
Nigeria had beaten Namibia 1-0 on Sunday while Malawi had a goalless draw with Kenya in their Group F games.
“We are not going to make miracles happen. We are still in the rebuilding process and Nigerians should bear with us and pray for the team to succeed,” Enyeama said.
“But we will try as much as possible to make Nigerians happy and, by the grace of God, we will succeed.”
The stand-in captain, however, hailed the efforts of team coach Stephen Keshi in the making of a new Super Eagles.

He said a lot had been done in terms of coaching to ensure the lost glory of the team was restored.
“I respect the past and present coaches of the Eagles. They have their ways of talking to the players. You respect everybody the way they are. I take people the way they are and Keshi has been like that to me,” Enyeama said.
“There were no regrets playing under Samson Siasia since he was there to work for the development of the team.”
