Max Air Limited has concluded arrangements to commence airlift of Nigerian Pilgrims that performed this year’s hajj back home with effect from today, November 1, 2012.
The Airline airlifted about 46,000 Nigerian Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia from 17 states of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to a statement issued to LEADERSHIP by its media consultant, Ibrahim Dahiru, yesterday, Max Air has commenced weighing of pilgrims’ luggage which the airline intend to bring to Nigeria together with the Pilgrims.
“We have mobilised all resources including the movement of cockpit crew, cabin crew, ground handling staff, engineers and technicians for a successful outbound airlift of Nigerian pilgrims,” it said.
It disclosed that the airline intended to use all its five Boeing 747 aircrafts for the airlift of Nigerian pilgrims back home.
The statement further disclosed that Max Air will airlift about 1,600 pilgrims in three flights today starting with one flight each to Kano, Katsina and Sokoto zones.
We, their children live abroad. They are almost 60 and have health problems like diabetes, heart and BP. I am worried that the heat in april end in saudi will be too much and have heard there are compulsory running involved when the holy kaaba is circled. I am so worried.
