    African Presidents Pledge to Raise $87 Million Emergency Fund to Fight Boko Haram

    Presidents from the 10-Nation of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) pledged in an extraordinary meeting to raise $87 million emergency fund to fight Islamist militant group, Boko Haram.

    Gabon’s President Ali Bongo Ondimba, who attended the one-day summit in Cameroon, expressed that he and his counterparts from ECCAS are committed to effectively combating terrorism, and the emergency fund would facilitate their mission, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
