Vincent
Enyeama the Nigerian international goalkeeper is currently under the watch of Liverpool
FC as they are currently scouting him ahead of a £3m deal, this was according
to the
Metro.
Metro.
According
to the report, it was claimed that the Reds are eager to land another
goalkeeper in the summer, which is perhaps unsurprising considering the poor
form of Simon Mignolet this term, with veteran Brad Jones the only other viable
option at the moment.
And although
it’s believed the Merseyside outfit have set aside significant funds for a new
goalkeeper in the summer, a report by Nigerian publication Vanguard claims Liverpool will make a
£3m summer move for Lille’s Enyeama.
The 32-year-old goal keeper who has conceded just 0.88 goals
per-game this season is said to have impressed Liverpool’s scouts with
his performances.
The
Nigerian number one was particularly impressive during the 2014 World Cup in
Brazil, where he kept two clean sheets in the group stages –
against Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Such were
Enyeama’s performances at the World Cup that Tottenham Hotspur and France
goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was singing his praises before Nigeria’s round of 16
clash with France.
