Thugs Storm Polling Unit In Akwa Ibom, Chase INEC and Other Oficials Away

While some parts of the nation recorded peaceful voting processes in Nigeria, other parts had some itches. According to SaharaReporters, the thugs were seen stealing the ballots and scattering them
around the polling station. The same armed individuals also chased voters and INEC officials away from the area.
SaharaReporters citizen journalist reported that armed thugs, allegedly sponsored by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) political leaders, stormed a polling unit at Lutheran Primary School (LUTH.P/SCH), Unit 003A, Mbiaso Ward 1 in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The thugs were seen stealing the ballots and scattering them around the polling station. The same armed individuals also chased voters and INEC officials away from the area.
Consequently, no election took place at this polling station.
