    Writing and Passing Post UME

To all those who have successfully written and passed the required cut-off, I say a big congratulation to them and to those who didn’t make it for one reason or the other, well I say better luck next time and put more effort.
Yes it is true that the Post UTME period is here again, this is the period where many wished there where never Post UTME but the truth is that you can’t change the situation now but what you can do is to work toward achieving the best from the set down huddles of PUTME.
We know that there are so many things that can hinder someone from passing the aptitude test even after scoring 250 or above in JAMB, this things includes un-serious preparation, lack of good information as to when your choice of school is writing the test, late arrival to the test ground and lack of money for logistics during the test period. Due to this reasons, you must put your ear on ground so as to know earlier the time for the test and prepare towards that.
Q:           I filled UNIPORT as my first choice of school and made 227 in JAMB…. What do I need to do concerning the PUTME in order to gain admission?
A:            Your 227 score is a guarantee from JAMB that you are qualified to write the test, the school has set their cut off which is from 180 and above and with your score, you have earned that chance to write the test. All you now need to do is to pass the test in which you need at least 200 and above, this is to help keep you in the average point of above 200 or at least 200. This is the least score some time for various departments. This is because the school will add your JAMB + PUTME/2 that is (227+288 = 515/2 = 257.5) this now becomes your new score which will give you automatic admission. Note the higher you score the higher your chances of gaining admission and vice a vice. Also if you made a very low score in JAMB, you need a very high score in PUTME.
It has also been notice over the years that the trends have changed and all tests are now written with PCs which they call Computer Base Test (CBT). If you are not friendly with the PC, you might find this difficult, not funny but very true because many have failed this simple test just because they were not computer friendly. So be warned and prepare yourself.
You have two weeks to your test, what are you waiting for, create time and spend more time reading and practicing. How do you practice? Schools have discovered that students don’t actually have this at home so they provided it online log on to the school web-site or search the school on Google if you don’t know the name of the site, check for their practice test for PUTME and work with that. Spend at least 2-3 hour and 3 days online weekly and see how far and better you can become. Do well to answer all the questions within the time frame because time is not your friend in the test hall so manage your time wisely. I bet you if you take this steps you will see how fast you will improve. Remember it is future and career we are talking about so be wise and spent wisely on it.
As you read this note that I write to you with love from my heart and I want you to succeed so don’t keep this info to yourself alone, share it, invite or tell your friends about it.
