    Youths and Celebration

     By Ellah Innocent

It has been observed that through out the world, there are only few days set aside for celebrations which the general ones are done by the Christians (Christmas, Esther etc) and Muslims (Id El Kabir) and the general new year celebration, aside these major ones, we have also noticed that as the year rolls by, we recognize some days in which we celebrate some set of people like our parents
(Mother's and Father's day), in Nigeria, we also celebrate Children's day which is usually every 27th of May, we also realize that over the years in the country, some events had occurred causing our leaders to mark that particular day in which the event occurred for celebration or remembrance e.g (Democracy day, Independent day etc). Now the question is this, for those who make great impact in the society, who are the populace in the society and who the future of the nation is with, I mean the youths, I am asking why is it that there was never a time set/marked for them to be celebrated just like others? is it that they were not part of the original plan or they don't deserve one. To this regard I say if some thing can be done for the youths we would love it.
If you are a youth and you think we deserve this, then lets hear your comments, To our parents who would read this article, if you know that the youths deserve this celebration lets also hear from you
    Thanks and happy reading
