Dangote’s truck Crushs Killing 4 Men and th VIO in Ogun

Earlier today, one of Dangote’s truck fully loaded with bags of cement on crushed killing both the official of the Vehicle Inspection Office and four others at Ilaro, in Yewa South Local Government of Ogun State.

The truck was said to be fully loaded with cement from the company’s depot at Ibese, and was headed to its destination of delivery when the driver lost control at a busy Sabo area of the town ramming into bystanders this happened at about 1.00pm.
The Vehicle Inspection Officer, whose name could not be ascertained at the time of this report, was said to be on duty at the scene when he and others met their untimely death.
There was mob action following the incident. The offending truck and another which arrived the scene were set ablaze. Similarly, police who arrived the scene were almost lynched by the mob. The police patrol van was vandalised.
The remains of the victims have been deposited in a morgue.
According to the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed confirmed the story.
“Five persons were crushed,” he said. “The mob set ablaze the vehicle before our men could get there. The corpses have been deposited in the hospital mortuary.”
