Berger Paints Appoints Mr. Peter Folikwe as Managing Director

Mr. Peter Folikwe has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Berger Paints Nigeria Plc. This notice was made public by the company to the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He has since resumed duties on 7 April 2015.

Mr. Peter Folikwe was born on 26 March 1966, and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Hons) in Marketing (1984) from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. He also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the of University of Benin (1999). Mr. Folikwe is a Fellow, Institute of Direct Marketing and also a Member of the Nigeria Institute of Marketing.
He later joined Vitafoam Nigeria Plc where he worked between 1991 and 2001 as Assistant Sales Manager at Ibadan and Asaba Depots between 1991 – 1995, Sales Manager at the , Sapale Factory (1995 – 1999) and Sales Manager, Ikeja (1999 – 2001).
He joined MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd from October 2001 – August 2006 and held the positions of Trade Marketer (October 2001 - June 2004) and Channel Manager MTN Service Centres and MTN Connect (July 2004 – August 2006).
Mr. Folikwe re-joined Vitafoam Nigeria Plc in August 2006 and was with the company until April 2013. He held several positions in Vitafoam during these period which include being a member of the Board/ Chairman of Vitablom Nigeria Limited( a subsidiary of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc) in 2011; Head IT Strategic Implementation Committee and was appointed to the Board of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc in December 2009 as Sales and Marketing Director.
Mr. Folikwe joined UAC Foods Limited in May 2013 as General Manager Sales and Distribution. He held this position until he was appointed the Managing Director of Berger Paints Nigeria Plc.
