In Sokoto state, Malama Aishatu Abubakar of Anjannaje ward in Tambuwal local government area delivered a baby girl shortly after casting her vote.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Abubakar was in labour but insisted on exercising her civic right to elect leaders of her choice.
Sources quoted Abubakar as saying that it has being her desire to discharge her civil responsibility and expressed the need to endure the pain of labour.
Abubakar called on leaders to have the fear of God while performing their primary duties.
She also called for an improved healthcare delivery in public health institutions across the country.
Abubakar explained that provision of modern healthcare service would go a long way in boosting healthcare services.
